rahsia hidup sihat

ada orang yang ajar aku dalam satu sessi senam otak beberapa minggu lalu.. seperti biasa terprovokasi untuk berkongsi.. ;) tapi sebab byk sangat self-talk negatif dalam diri aku, maka aku tak tulis2..

ada bukti berkesan pada diri sendiri ker? nih tgh cuba laa nih.. tak berkesan buat apa nak citer? kan nampak sikit perubahan.. tak malu ker nak kongsi, tengok perut tuh? kalau tak kongsi takleh nak lock ilmu diri.. nak kongsi tapi cuba tolong perut tuh dulu! kan aku sedang buat.. buat jer laa sampai selesai dulu! kalau aku tulis aku lebih clear apa nak buat.. nak berlagak laa tuh! ish.. ye laa takyah tulis..

tapi hari nih aku peduli apa self-talk dlm diri aku.. kalaupun aku tak berjaya, org lain boleh guna dan berjaya.. info tak share tak jadi ilmu.. kan ilmu nih model dari yang dah berjaya.. suka hati aku laa.. cukup merepek..

maka beginilah..

kawan aku pun berkata, "nak kurus nih, pertama mental kena kuat.. mula2 kena suka dengan badan sendiri.. ok sedikit gemuk.. walaupun realitinya 'mak ai peyut, cuma nak buang skit jer.. mental state kena betul.. kena bayangkan badan yg kita nak, walaupun kat cermin tuh badak air madagascar.. kena tau nak kurus pasal apa.. whatever the reason, alasan kena kuat dan beremosi.. malu org kutuk, rasa tak sihat, nak mudah bergerak atau apa saja.. kena tau rasanya macammana.. visual, auditori dan kinestetik.."

"kedua, kena tau kenapa kita jadi camtuh.. bayang2kan zaman kurus dan ingat2kan kenapa kita jadi gemuk.. nih kena clear.. kenapa kita jadi gemuk.. bayangkan juga apa perasaan kita bila orang lain kata kita gemuk dan reaksi emosi kita ketika org bagi gesture yg kata kita nih gemuk.. sama juga.. kenali sub-modalities visual, auditori dan kinestetik.."

ketiga, kawan aku tuh kata mulakan dengan kontrol pernafasan.. berlatih bernafas dengan betul.. bila aku tanya kenapa, dia kata ada kaitan dengan sistem limfa.. kalo sistem darah ada jantung untuk pam, sistem limfa bergantung pada pernafasan dan otot kita.. panjang betul penjelasan dia.. jadi latihannya, tarik nafas dalam, tahan dalam kiraan empat, dan hembus perlahan dalam kiraan dua, buat sepuluh kali, sekurang2nya tiga kali sehari.. dia kata sebab tuh orang yg buat yoga biasanya vegetarian sebab dia tak lapar.. kalau bernafas betul, kita tak rasa lapar.. kata dia.. aku masih bereksperimentasi..

keempat, biasakan makan makanan yang berair.. macam buah2an.. minum air banyak tuh boleh tapi lebih baik flush sistem badan dengan buah2an.. buah2an yang berair tuh bagus katanya, sebab itu sentiasa membantu badan dalam pembersihan.. baru badan berfungsi dengan baik..

dia bagi contoh, "ko tengok semua binatang besar2 tuh, malah dinasour yang paling besar dulu, semuanya herbivor yang karnivor nih kecik2 jer.. tulang tak kuat.."

kelima, jangan makan campur2 dan kena betul.. contohnya kalo makan karbohidrat jangan makan sekali dengan makanan berprotein.. dia bagi contoh itu jer..

dia kata, "sebab karbohidrat tuh dihadamkan dalam medium alkali, protein dihadam dalam medium asid.. ko campur dua2 apa yg jadi? neutral.. bila dah neutral, makanan tak hadam dengan baik.. busuk dalam perut.. tuh kentut busuk.."

isk.. dia suh aku check samail tardmizi tengok camna Nabi saw makan dan minum..

dia sambung, "bukan aku kata jangan makan, tapi jangan masukkan sekali dalam waktu bersamaan.. contoh, makan buah patut perut kosong baru betul.. sebab buah2an bukan dihadam dalam perut tapi dalam usus kecil.. ko makan nasi banyak2 pastu baru makan buah, apa jadi buah tuh dlm perut? busuklah.. tak sempat sampai usus.." aku angguk2 kepala..

keenam, bersenam.. "jangan main ikut2 orang.. ko gemuk kena bersenam macam org gemuk, jangan senam macam org kurus.. lain.. ko senam nak buang lemak, dia senam nak kuatkan otot.. aku kesian tengok org gemuk bersenam sampai tak bernafas, turunlaa banyak kilo, pastuh naik balik berkilo2 lagi banyak.." aku tanya, "senam orang gemuk camna?"

"aerobic?" pitam sekejap otak aku.. dia sambung, "ada dua jenis senam.. aerobik dan anaerobik.. satu tuh bersenam pakai nafas dan satu lagi senam tak sempat bernafas.. org gemuk macam ko nih metabolisme rendah.. kena training metabolisme bagi naik.. so kalo bersenam kena fokus nak naikkan kadar metabolisme bukan nak buang lemak.."

"benda yang paling penting kena ukur ialah detak jantung ko.. maksimun detak jantung kita nih sifir dia 220 tolak umur.. biasanya camtuh.. so kalo umur ko 40, 220-40=180.. tuh maksimum.. bila jantung ko lebih dari tuh, maka ia akan jadi anearobik.. bila anaerobik, badan kita akan pakai gula dalam darah kita sebagai tenaga.. kena ingat sistem saraf kita pakai 2/3 dari gula dalam darah kita.. bila kurang nih yg kita dok rasa pening kepala bila penat.."

"nak buang spare tyre kat perut ko tuh, kena buat aerobic exercise.. kena latih badan ko guna lemak tuh.. jangan bersukan macam nak gila tapi yang kita buang air dan otot kita.. mmg laa turun tapi lemak tuh melekat tak tanggal.."

"err.. macammana aku nak tau masa tuh aerobik ke anaerobik? berapa lama nak exercise tuh?"

"ko pemalas kan? nih elok utk org malas.. senam yang aerobik nih ko patut tak rasa terpaksa.. ko akan rileks jer enjoy.. mula2 ko buat warm-up 15 minit.. pastuh ko buat jer senaman apa2 yg aerobik dalam 20-45 minit.. pastuh ko kena buat cool-down dalam 15 minit.. jangan berenti terus.. jalan2 dulu.. nak tau aerobik ke tak, ko cuba bercakap amsa exercise, selagi ko boleh bercakap maknanya masih aerobik, kalo dah menggelupur tuh anaerobik laa tuh.."

Shaken baby Syndrome (SBS)

Pesakit terakhir yang kami 'tidurkan' ialah bayi berusia 4 bulan.
(ed: maaf saya tak sampai hati nak paparkan wajah bayi tersebut di sini, cukuplah kisahnya sebagai pedoman.)

Bayi tersebut telah disyaki mendapat sawan pada pukul 2 petang tadi. Beliau sebelum ini sihat dan dijaga oleh pengasuh. Beliau tidak demam dan tidak batuk serta tidak mempunyai simptom-simptom yang lain.. Itulah kali pertama beliau mendapat sawan.
Sesampai di resus room (red zone), beliau masih lagi kelihatan mengantuk dan kurang responsif. Beliau kelihatan pucat dan apa yang menakutkan kami ialah ubun-ubun depan beliau yang timbul dan mencembung (bulging). Memandangkan beliau tidak demam dan ujian menunjukkan beliau kurang darah (Hb 8g/dl), serta bayi tersebut masih kurang responsif selepas satu jam sawan, kami mengambil keputusan untuk melakukan CT scan otak ( Brain CT Scan).

Scan otak menunjukkan beliau mengalami pendarahan otak yang serius, Acute and Chronic Subdural Bleed with Subarachnoid bleed! Terkejut. Kali ini ibu bayi tersebut telah pun selamat tiba dari pejabatnya. Saya bertanyakan lagi sejarah kesihatan bayi tersebut. Satu-satunya cerita atau sejarah yang relevan ialah pengasuh bayi tersebut suka menimangnya tinggi-tinggi. Bayi itu dikatakan sangat suka ditimang.

SHAKEN BABY SYNDROME (SBS)

SBS merupakan kecederaan otak bayi disebabkan goncangan atau pergerakan kepala yang kuat. Boleh berlaku dalam tempoh sesingkat 5 saat pergerakan yang kuat. Kecederaan yang serius boleh menyebabkan kecacatan otak yang lama, serius dan kekal pada bayi.. Ianya berlaku apabila kepala bayi digoncang atau dihentak dengan objek walaupun objek lembut seperti bantal. Ada teori mengaitkan dengan pergerakan seperti menimang bayi, menaiki buaian serta memegang bayi ketika seseorang sedang marah atau bergaduh boleh menyebab berlakunya SBS. Sebab lain ialah penderaan bayi (child abuse) dan selalunya mempunyai kesan-kesan penderaan yang lain.

Perkara ini berlaku kerana kepala bayi mempunyai nisbah yang lebih besar berbanding badan mereka, leher yang lemah dan struktur otak yang masih belum matang serta lebih kandungan air berbanding orang dewasa.

Amalan menimang atau menggoncang sering dilakukan oleh penjaga terutama bila bayi tidak mahu berhenti menangis. Ada yang menimang bayi kerana untuk menenangkan bayi dan ada juga melakukannya ketika marah atau penat menjaga bayi.....( occupational stress ).

Ini bukanlah kes SBS pertama yang saya rawat. Sebelum ini saya juga pernah merawat seorang bayi di wad kanak-kanak yang mempunyai kecederaan otak yang serius dikhuatiri berpunca daripada menaiki buaian.

PENCEGAHAN
  1. Jangan sesekali menggoncang bayi anda ketika marah atau untuk bermain.
  2. Jangan memegang bayi anda ketika marah.
  3. Jikalau anda tidak dapat menenangkan bayi anda, lebih baik anda tinggalkan bayi anda untuk sementara waktu di dalam katil bayi atau kepada orang lain.
  4. Minta bantuan orang lain.

Maka, saya sangat berharap agar ibu bapa dan penjaga semua dapat mengambil serius dan peka tentang Baby Shaken Syndrome ini. Ianya bukanlah kes terpencil malah di Amerika Syarikat sebanyak 1500 kes dilaporkan setiap tahun. Mereka juga telah mengharamkan sebarang bentuk alat menggoncang bayi seperti buaian.

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It's not as easy as you think. It's important to know how and when to eat.
What is the correct way of eating fruits?
IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! * FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.
If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.
FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD. Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.
In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil....

In 1919 when the flu killed 40 million people there was this Doctor that visited the many farmers to see if he could help them combat the flu.

Many of the farmers and their family had contracted it and many died.

The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone was very healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the rooms of the home, (probably only two rooms back then). The doctor couldn't believe it and asked if he could have one of the onions and place it under the microscope. She gave him one and when he did this, he did find the flu virus in the onion. It obviously absorbed the bacteria, therefore, keeping the family healthy.

Now, I heard this story from my hairdresser in AZ. She said that several years ago many of her employees were coming down with the flu and so were many of her customers. The next year she placed several bowls with onions around in her shop. To her surprise, none of her staff got sick. It must work.. (And no, she is not in the onion business.)

The moral of the story is, buy some onions and place them in bowls around your home. If you work at a desk, place one or two in your office or under your desk or even on top somewhere. Try it and see what happens. We did it last year and we never got the flu.

If this helps you and your loved ones from getting sick, all the better. If you do get the flu, it just might be a mild case..

Whatever, what have you to lose? Just a few bucks on onions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now there is a P. S. to this for I sent it to a friend in Oregon who regularly contributes material to me on health issues. She replied with this most interesting experience about onions:

I don't know about the farmers story...but, I do know that I contacted pneumonia and needless to say I was very ill...I came across an article that said to cut both ends off an onion put one end on a fork and then place the forked end into an empty jar...placing the jar next to the sick patient at night. It said the onion would be black in the morning from the germs...sure enough it happened just like that...the onion was a mess and I began to feel better.

Another thing I read in the article was that onions and garlic placed around the room saved many from the black plague years ago. They have powerful antibacterial, antiseptic properties.

LEFT OVER ONIONS ARE POISONOUS

I have used an onion which has been left in the fridge, and sometimes I don't use a whole one at one time, so save the other half for later.

Now with this info, I have changed my mind....will buy smaller onions in the future.

I had the wonderful privilege of touring Mullins Food Products, Makers of mayonnaise. Mullins is huge, and is owned by 11 brothers and sisters in the Mullins family. My friend, Jeanne, is the CEO.

Questions about food poisoning came up, and I wanted to share what I learned from a chemist.

The guy who gave us our tour is named Ed. He's one of the brothers Ed is a chemistry expert and is involved in developing most of the sauce formula. He's even developed sauce formula for McDonald's.

Keep in mind that Ed is a food chemistry whiz. During the tour, someone asked if we really needed to worry about mayonnaise. People are always worried that mayonnaise will spoil. Ed's answer will surprise you. Ed said that all commercially- made Mayo is completely safe.

"It doesn't even have to be refrigerated. No harm in refrigerating it, but it's not really necessary." He explained that the pH in mayonnaise is set at a point that bacteria could not survive in that environment. He then talked about the quaint essential picnic, with the bowl of potato salad sitting on the table and how everyone blames the mayonnaise when someone gets sick.

Ed says that when food poisoning is reported, the first thing the officials look for is when the 'victim' last ate ONIONS and where those onions came from (in the potato salad?). Ed says it's not the mayonnaise (as long as it's not homemade Mayo) that spoils in the outdoors. It's probably the onions, and if not the onions, it's the POTATOES.

He explained, onions are a huge magnet for bacteria, especially uncooked onions. You should never plan to keep a portion of a sliced onion.. He says it's not even safe if you put it in a zip-lock bag and put it in your refrigerator.

It's already contaminated enough just by being cut open and out for a bit, that it can be a danger to you (and doubly watch out for those onions you put in your hotdogs at the baseball park!)

Ed says if you take the leftover onion and cook it like crazy you'll probably be okay, but if you slice that leftover onion and put on your sandwich, you're asking for trouble. Both the onions and the moist potato in a potato salad, will attract and grow bacteria faster than any commercial mayonnaise will even begin to break down.

So, how's that for news? Take it for what you will. I (the author) am going to be very careful about my onions from now on. For some reason, I see a lot of credibility coming from a chemist and a company that produces millions of pounds of mayonnaise every year.'

Also, dogs should never eat onions. Their stomachs cannot metabolize onions .Please remember it is dangerous to cut onions and try to use it to cook the next day ,it becomes highly poisonous for even a single night and creates Toxic bacteria which may cause Adverse Stomach infections because of excess Bile secretions and even Food poisoning.

Bila aku tengok gambar kawan-kawan lama dalam facebook, kebanyakannya dah berbadan besar! Kalau tak besar keseluruhannya, part perut mesti fail! Pangkat atau gaji berkadar terus dengan saiz badan or saiz perut! Lagi tinggi pangkat or income, lagi besar badan atau perut! Ini dah jadi trend tapi pendapat aku ’bad trend’. We work hard, making money but years ahead having some health issues. More tragic, no money and no health. What could be more tragic than this? Grrr...

So, nak aku bagitau macam mana nak kuruskan badan tanpa diet? Let me clarify even further. Nak kuruskan badan tapi maintain gaya makan sekarang? Boleh tibai 2-3 keping roti canai pagi-pagi, tengahari pulak tibai briyani, petang jangan lupa cucoq2 apa yang jual tepi jalan, malam boleh makan tomyam, udang celup tepung dan balik terbongkang tidoq tapi di masa yang sama perut makin kempis, badan makin kurus, selera makan bertambah, badan makin sihat and sex drive ehem-ehem? hahaha...Huh..too good to be true, aaight??? But it is true. Aku dah praktis dan buat daripada tahun lepas. Saiz turun daripada L ke M, waist turun daripada 36 ke 32 (seluaq dah kene alter) dan semestinya perut dari one BIG pack ke 4 packs sekarang. If I stand up straight, look down not only could see tip of the ‘iceberg’ but the whole ‘iceberg’. Badan rasa sedap, tengok diri sendiri kat cermin pun rasa puas and of course bila duduk tak asyik-asyik nak angkat baju kat perut! Hehehe...aku bukan nak kutuk orang buncit atau gemuk aaa...thats never my intention cuma nak kasi choice. What it’s gonna be?

Ok. Malas nk ding dong, buang masa bagi hampa dok tertanya-tanya apa dia, macam mana etc. Jawapannya, JOGGING. Kenapa aku pilih jogging? Sebab ni bole buat sendiri, murah dan berkesan. Not necessarily at the gym. Kat taman pun dah boleh. Nak himpun 2 orang untuk main tennis or ping pong pun susah apatah lagi nak main futsal kan. Jogging tu senang tapi teknik kene betul!!

Bila aku cakap jogging, jangan kelam kabut pi beli kasut NIKE, stokin baru, t-shirt, stop watch dan lain-lain. Jangan ambik kunci kereta dulu. Tunggu sat. Tak abih cakap lagi nih. A BIG NO! Don’t get excited! Relek...mula-mula sekali kene jadikan ini habit. This is the most CRUCIAL and the HARDEST part to do but not impossible. It is easy with the right technique. Tak guna hari ni lari 2 kilometer pastu tahun depan pulak baru lari balik. Kaki jadi sakit, muscle cramp. Start with less and less. Try seminggu sekali dan 15 minit tiap-tiap sesi selama 3 bulan. 15 minit tu dah termasuk warm down, so yang betul-betul lari dalam 10 minit jer. Ini je cukup. Tak perlu buat lebih. The idea is to make it as a habit. Aku pun mula dengan lari 7 minit jer. On this phase, don’t bother about your breathing technique, whether you swing your hands right, landing on the right position of foot or even buying new pair of shoes. Secara natural Allah dah ajar kita macam mana nak lari daripada kecik. Ikut je stail tu dulu. Aku ada buat simple table for a reminder (aku attach sebagai panduan). Print it and put where we could see everyday. Soalannya, macam mana nak tau kalau dah jadi habit? Senang ja. Bila kita tak jogging je dalam minggu tu, kita dah rasa resah, kat table tu pun kosong, tak boleh nak tick dan amazingly badan kita pun rasa kurang sedap. Maksudnya dah jadi habit ler tuh. BAGUS! Kalau terlepas satu minggu, minggu depan jangan lupa mesti kene cover balik.

Selepas habis tiga bulan tuh, aku gerenti dah turun berat badan beberapa kilo. Makanya, semangat makin bertambah!! By this time, 10 minit yg dok maintain tu dah tak terasa apa. Kat sini kita boleh choose samada nak tambah kekerapan atau tambah minit lari atau dua-dua. Aku pilih tambah minit lari sebab aku takda masa nak lari dua kali seminggu. Masa ni jugak, kalau terasa nak beli kasut yang lebih sesuai boleh beli. Satu pesanan lagi sekali, yang penting ialah habit. Kalau dah jadi habit, kita akan cari masa untuk luangkan buat habit nih. Tak percaya? Cuba lah buat...aku mula dengan 7 minit, sekarang dah 20 minit. Daripada 0.4 mile ke 1.6 miles now. Tahun ni target 2 kali seminggu and 3 miles. Lepas je tiga bulan tu, definitely kita akan terasa sendiri nak buat research pasal running ni. Macam mana teknik yang sebetulnya etc. Open for discussion.

Ada sesapa tanya macam mana nk kuruskan perut? Hehehe...dah abis lari tadi, badan dok tengah panas lagi, buat le sit ups, pumping ke sikit-sikit kan. Aku buat dua cara. Satu lepas lari aku akan sit-up at least 30 kali. Tiap-tiap hari, aku akan buat sit-up 30 kali. Alah bukan lama pun, paling lama 3 minit. Sebelum nak masuk mandi tu atau sebelum tidoq, buat 30 kali. Macam mana? Boleh check link ni, aku ikut je. InsyaAllah, mujarab!

anak aku no. 3 pun eczema gak.. habis belakang peha merah, berkuping2, kalau dah teruk sgt muka pun merah, sembab, pastu kering kasar - sian tengok!! kat pelipat2 sumer merah2.. and bak kata sorang doktor tu "there is actually no rash until you start scratching!!" although this is very2 true tapi nak buat camner, dah gatal, garu la!!

Sekarang ni dia tak teruk dah, kaki pun dah ok, kadang2 je gatal sikit2. Tapi doktor tu pesan, kalau gatal, cuba ambik air yang dibancuh ngan garam (bukan garam commercial tapi cam himalayan salt tu) (air tu pun aku tak sure room temperature ke suam ke) pastu dap kat tempat yang gatal tu - dia claim boleh legakan gatal. Yang ni aku tak pernah cuba sebab sekarang ni anak aku dah ok.

dulu pakai fucidin. lepaih tu pakai elomet kat badan, n uclosone utk muka. dah tu pakai mometasone apemendentah.

pakai yg no3 tu baru nampak kurang skit. banyak actually. tapi, ada gak antibiotic yg oral punye, n apa kelagi yg dua lagi tu.

elomet tu mahai. tiub kecik je rm25.

Semua tu steroid. Protopic plak non-steroid tapi harga mahal giler...10g (tiub kecik jer) = RM110+. Kalau tengok gambar before & after dia memang fullamak...kulit boleh jadi licin & cun balik.

yang elomet kau beli for rm25+ tu dah 15gm but protopic is effective, as azam cakap la....nonsteroid based. It is an antibiotic ( macrolide ) with immunosuppresant properties. Takdak kesan sampingan penipisan kulit.

aku punya ubat tu combination of drugs....bukan satu saja. Tak dak lak mahe sampai puluhan ribu, Allah tu maha penyayang....dia uji aku pun takat patut padan saja.....alhamdulilllah.

Tak macam kawan kita, dah la lumpuh seketika....5 hari punya ubat pun cecah RM40k....tapi Allah uji kasi dia sakit saja, sib baik dr segi kewangan....rawatan tu Telekom bayar .....adil la kan??? Masa tgh warded bini keguguran lak walaupun dah 6 ke 7 tahun dok cuba nk dptkn anak kedua ....dia redha, lepas setahun Allah kasi gak anak kat dia.

Memang betoi kalau U lose weight the length of scud will increase, but its actually and mostly due to less of the penis shaft is burried under the fat/ perut boroi making 'it' looks longer when its actually the same old shaft length.

But of course losing weight also improves the diabetes/sugar control, improves the BP control and aslo improves self-confidence, hence improves the blood circulation to the corpus of shaft...again longer, harder, and durable.

But losing water albeit weight thru dehydration, the same concept doesn't apply but the exercise again may provide the same benefits.

Buyung ada call aku kata alhamdulillah he is OK now and that his heart beat is back to normal rhythm, previously his heartbeats were fast and not regular hence called Paroxsymal (cuma berlaku sesekali) Atrial Fibrillation (denyutan nadi tak sekata dan laju)(PAF). Contoh denyutan yg tak sekata ECG macam kat bawah (tengok jarak antara 'jarum2 pointing ke bawah' tu tak sama ie irregular and kalau check nadi kat wrist or heart memang tak sekata lajunya)

Normal rhythm(above)ie. jarak antara jarum2 ni sama


Pesakit selalunya mengalami palpitation (dapat rasakan denyutan nadi, rasa debar2 'cam bila tengok Jali in plastic bikini'), perit di dada, pening2 lalat/pitam, sesak nafas dll esp kalau nadi terlampau laju.

Saturated Fat in Coconut Oil is bad for your heart

Study showed saturated fat in coconut oil impaired anti-inflammatory ability of HDL cholesterol

Researchers from the Heart Research Institute in Australia studied the body response from eating meals containing good fats versus bad fats. Participants were fed with meals prepared with either coconut oil (high in "bad" saturated fats) or safflower oil (high in "good" polyunsaturated fats). After only 3 hours, researchers found the participants fed with the coconut meal high in saturated fat had a significantly reduced blood flow due to arteries' reduced ability to expand. After 6 hours, researchers found that the good high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol's anti-inflammatory properties had decreased after the saturated coconut meal, but improved after the polyunsaturated safflower meal. The results of this study were published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology in August 2006.

This study once again shows how good fats may improve body functions while bad fats hamper our health. Despite its extreme high level of saturated fat, coconut oil supporters have been promoting coconut oil as a health food. They claimed that coconut oil can cause weight loss, lower blood cholesterol, and is a germ fighter. It is true the structure of some of the saturated fats in coconut oil is different from other saturated fats, but it is scientifically farfetched to claim it as health food to be eaten every day. Like any other foods, moderation is the key.

Saturated fats are mainly found in animal products such as meat, dairy, eggs and seafood. Some plant foods are also high in saturated fats such as coconut, palm oil and palm kernel oil. Although this study is small, it showed that just one "bad" meal can do damage.

Bottom Line

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute warned that "a high content of saturated fat... found in ..... palm kernel oil, palm oil, coconut oil and cocoa butter" put people at risk for having heart attack or stroke.

* For the sake of your heart, minimize the intake of both saturated fats and trans fats. Choose wholesome fresh foods instead of packaged foods, which usually contain these bad fats.
* Avoid using cooking oils that are high in saturated fats and trans fats such as coconut oil, palm oil or vegetable shortening. Instead, use oils that are low in saturated fats and high in mono- and polyunsaturated fats such as canola oil, olive oil and safflower oil.
* As saturated fats are found in animals products, choose lower-fat version dairy. In addition, trim visible fats and skins from meat products.

Pernafasan yg betul, inhale & exhale kena melalui hidung (tak boleh melalui mulut...sebab tu dalam yoga, mana ada org nganga, buka mulut...hehehe). Bila inhale, kembongkan perut (abdomen) sebesar-besarnya lepas tu baru kembangkan dada. Bila exhale, biar dada kembali ke asal dan kempiskan perut towards your spine, sekempis yg boleh...tapi jangan paksa. Kalau nak tau secara terperinci...nah baca nie

(sebab tu bagi aku, yg susahnya ttg yoga bukannya dia punya pose...nak kawal pernafasan sambil buat segala pose yg susah)

Learn breathing… the yoga way

With the ever-increasing incidence of lifestyle diseases like cardio-vascular and nervous system disorders, the time has come for us to address this ourselves, fair and square WITHOUT external dependence.

Did you know that reprogramming your natural breathing technique would not only help in preventing these problems but also help in the “reversal” of several such harmful conditions? Yes, it’s not only possible but proven too. In fact leading cardiac experts are advocating the benefits of “correct” breathing to their patients.

Surprising as it is, almost none of us use the full capacity of our respiratory organs. This is aggravated by our sedentary lifestyles and leads to several complications popularly called - lifestyle disorders.

The first question that comes to mind is – “How can I alter my natural breathing process?” Well, astonishing as it may seem, it’s true. By training our body to breathe in a particular fashion, we re-program our involuntary system to adopt this new way of breathing.

This breathing technique is called the “Full Yogic breath” or simply Yoga breathing.

Without wasting time, I’ll plunge right away into the technique followed by its overwhelming benefits.

First, lie down on your back, relaxed, with hands and legs outstretched and eyes looking up at the roof. Gently close your eyes and relax.

Step 1: Abdominal breathing

Observe your natural breath. You will notice that as you inhale the abdomen rises and then falls with exhalation. Watch this for a few moments to check this flow. Now begin to deepen, lengthen and extend that movement. That is, while inhaling, let the abdomen rise to its limit and at exhalation let it fall completely. Keep the chest still during this entire process – only move the abdomen. Continue this for 20 breaths and then rest.

Step 2: Thoracic (chest) breathing

Again observe your normal breath, this time focusing your attention on the chest. You will notice the chest moving slightly up at inhalation and down with exhalation. Again observe this pattern for a few moments. Now again, begin to deepen, lengthen and extend that movement. This time, on inhalation expand and lift the rib cage, filling the lungs completely. Then on exhalation, let the lungs collapse fully, sinking to the limits. In this step, keep the abdomen still, moving only the chest. Do this for 20 breath cycles and then stop

Step 3: Full Yogic breathing

This combines the above 2 steps in the following way:

First inhale by filling the abdomen and then CONTINUE inhaling as you expand and fill the chest. Then exhale first from the chest as it empties and falls and then CONTINUE exhaling from the abdomen as it draws inwards completely. This is one round of the full yogic breath. Repeat this for 20 rounds.

Remember the pattern… Inhaling - abdomen then chest; Exhaling – chest then abdomen.

GOLDEN RULE: All of the above steps should be done WITHOUT strain. The natural tendency is to heave with effort. The right way is to make it smooth and effortless. Go slow and easy.

Initially you will experience unevenness or bumps in this breathing process – as if there are 4 separate parts to the full yogic breath. This is natural considering the years we have spent breathing improperly.

Instead, try to picture this breath as a continuous wave like pattern – as if the breath moves up from the navel to the throat with every inhalation and then, down from the throat to the navel with each exhalation. It may take a few weeks of practice to perfect a “SMOOTH flowing pattern with MINIMUM effort and with MAXIMUM capacity.”

This is the desired effect!! Over time, the yoga way of breathing will come naturally to you.

And now for the all-important benefits…

The full yogic breath is the basic building block of the powerful yoga breathing techniques, also called ‘Pranayama’ in Sanskrit, which are known for their multifarious benefits.

But the tangible benefits of the full yogic breath are that it:

Panduan Menjaga Alat Sulit Wanita

1) Adalah disyorkan agar membersihkan bahagian luar selepas buang air kecil atau air besar, seeloknya menggunakan air.

2) Ketika haid, wanita dinasihatkan kerap menukar tuala wanita terutama pada hari-hari yang banyak darah. Ini kerana darah merupakan media yang sesuai untuk kuman membiak. Bagi wanita yang menggunakan 'tampon' mereka perlu ingat untuk menukarkannya.

3) Elakkan dari sering mengamalkan douching iatu iatu memasukkan jari atau pancutan ke dalam faraj dengan dengan tujuan membersihkan bahagian dalam faraj. Perbuatan ini akan menyingkirkan sejenis bacteria loctobacili dari faraj di samping mendedahkan faraj dan bahagian luar kemaluan kepada bahan kimia yang boleh mengakibatkan iritasi kulit.

4) Elakkan dari menggunakan sabun atau menyapu shower gel pada alat kelamin kerana ia mungkin menyebabka kekeringan dan iritasi kulit dan menjadi gatal. Sesetengah wanita sensitive dan alah pada pewangi dan buih sabun.

5) Pasangan suami isteri diggalakkan membersih alat kelamin dengan air sebelum dan selepas hubungan kelamin untuk kebersihan yang optimum.Amalkan membuang air kecil lebih kurang setengah jam selepas hubungan seks untuk mengurankan risikojangkitan kuman pada pundi kencing.

6) Seluar dalam perlu ditukar setiap hari dan pada hari-hari mengalami keputihan, lebih baik memakai penty liner supaya ia tidak melekat pada pakaian dalam yang menyebabkan ketidakselesaan.

7) Selain dari itu, bengkak nanah dikaitkan dengan jangkitan kuman dan pesakit mengadu sakit serta demam.Rawatan adalah secara incisional dan drainage untuk menggeluarkan nanah dan pengambilan antibiotic.Bisul juga boleh terjadi pada wanita yang sering bercukur .Oleh itu kebersihan pencukur perlu dititikberatkan.

8) Wanita yang mengalami keputihan dengan penjagaan alat sulit seharusnya perlu tahu membezakan antara keputihan biasa dan yang berpenyakit. Keputihan normal boleh berlaku pada waktu –waktu berikut seperti beberapa hari sebelum haid, ketika ghairah seks, kehamilan dan klimakterik ataupun selepas menopause..

9) Tanda-tanda keputihan yang berpenyakit termasuklah pertukaran warna dari jernih,putih kekuningan atau kehijauan atau berdarah.Sekiranya keputihan terlalu banyak ,berketul-ketul kecil,gatal dan berbau,tanda-tanda bengkak,pedih atau sakit pada alat kelamin.Sekiranya jangkitan merebak ke pangkal rahim atau system peranakan,wanita akan mengadu sakit pada bahagian bawah abdomen serta demam.

10) Seelok-eloknya wanita yang mengalami masalah keputihan dinasihatkan berjumpa doctor untuk mendapatkan pengesahan sama ada ia berpenyakit atau tidak,supaya rawatan dapat diberikan sebelum penyakit lebih serius.

11) Kebanyakan wanita sebenarnya tidak memerlukan produk atau ubat penjagaan alat kelamin sekiranya langkah-langkah yang disarankan di atas diikut dengan bijak.Ubat hanya perlu diambil bagi merawat jangkitan kuman dan keputihan yang tidak normal.

12) Segelintir wanita berasa selesa dan puas apabila mereka membersih dan merawat alat kelamin dengan produk yang berada di pasaran.Mereka dinasihatkan memikirkan bahan pencuci yang tidak mendatangkan kesan sampingan yang tidak mengubah ph faraj dan telah diuji kebersihannya.

13) Sekiranya selepas menggunakan produk tersebut dan timbul rasa gatal, pedih, kemerahan, wanita itu dinasihatkan tidak menggunakannya lagi dan berjumpalah doctor untuk mendapatkan rawatan yang sewajarnya.

Saluran air kencing ( urethra) bermula dari lantai pundi kencing ( urinary bladder...bukan ulinary brader), melalui kelenjar prostate terus ke dunia luar.

Makin meningkatnya umur, sel2 prostate mengganda dan menyebabkan kelenjar prostate membengkak n seterusnya menyebabkan saluran urethra partially or completely block.

pembengkakan ni bermula seawal umur 30 tahun ( pasal tengah galak ). menjelang umur 50 tahun lebih kurang 50% dah menunjukkan tanda pembengkakan sel, by the age of 80 (ramai yang dah jalan) 75% pula yang ada. Tapi mungkin dalam 40-50 peratus yang akan ada symptom or tanda2 penyakit

Biasanya BPH tak dianggap sebagai pre cancerous lesion

Nak assess prostate ni bengkak or idak kena wat PR ( per rectal examination ). tengok diagram kat atas....dekat je prostate tu ngan lubang dubur ( anus ). Jadi jari dimasukkan melalui anus and doktor akan merasa saiz, rupa permukaan prostate, sakit ke dak etc2.

Selain tu ada gak ujian darah yang leh dibuat untuk menentukan keaktifan prostate ni ( PSA - prostate specific antigen ) dan bersama2 ngan ujian ultrasound kita boleh nak bezakan samada prostate tu membengkak biasa or prostate tu nak jadi kanser.

Ni aku tulis ringkas ...maybe kadut nak tambah. Pasal kanser prostate...tolong wat baacan sendiri....aku nak kena gi bank, post office jap....chow

Testes wat testosterone yang kemudainnya di convert kpd dihydrotesto ( DHT bukan susu UHT ) n estrogen ( tu yng makin tua makin romantik, makin lembut ...terlebih hormon betino ). Dulu sebelum aku belajar pun aku cam hang gak....pasai terlebih galak ke, kurang galak ke or tak galak2 ke

ceritanya prostate ni ada dua peringkat pembesaran.....peringkat pertama semasa baligh..size jadi double. peringkat kedua....semasa zaman galak nak menikah....25 n above, yang kendian ni yg brkait rapat ngan BPH.

Satu lagi tak semestinya prostate tu membesar kita akan ada symptom, symptom bermula bila saluran urethra dah compromise.....
